Itinerary for Patagonia

Itinerary

We finally have decided on our itinerary, and booked the internal flights in Chile and Argentina. We used a a travel agent in Buenos Aires who was very helpful and patient with my limited Spanish. December til February is the busiest time in that area, so it was very difficult to find seats, we had to change itineraries, and leave out the Lakes District area...until next time. So our focus will be on the Southern area.

December 21, 2005:
7pm: Leave Ottawa to Santiago
December 22, 2005:
Santiago - Punta Arenas
December 23, 2005:
Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales
December 24, 2005 - December 28, 2005:
Torres del Paine, W Circuit
December 29, 2005:
El Calafate
December 30, 2005:
Perito Moreno
December 31, 2005 - January 3, 2006:
El Chalten, Fitz Roy
January 4 - January 7, 2006:
Ushuaia, Terra del Fuego
January 7 - 10, 2006:
Peninsula Valdez
January 10 - 12, 2006:
Buenos Aires
January 12 - 16, 2006
Bogota
January 16: Bogota - Ottawa

We reserved hostals for the first 2 nights, and most of the refugios for the W circuit. Christmas eve we'll spend at Refugio Grey on the shore of Lago/Glacier Grey.
One more week, and we're gone! Giddyup!
